WEDDING: HUI LI + MATHEW

Hey friends! I’m still digging the archives and here’s another wonderful and cozy wedding I did back in 2020. I remember creating this magical wedding the very last week before the lockdown (feels unreal now), trying to adjust to all the new rules and regulations popping at that time. The theme Hui Li and Mathew chose was Pride & Prejudice movie, and was an absolute dream to work on!

I wanted to share with you all the details of this beautiful wedding theme and how we created the perfect atmosphere for it.

The theme was inspired by the wild fields at dawn, so we wanted to incorporate a lot of greenery, lavender and misty blue colours, with a pop of soft sun to capture that look. We also added in some weeds and grasses for that natural, rustic feel.

For the blooms, we chose a variety of small and big textured flowers with dancing stems like butterfly ranunculus, tulips, scabiosa, and my all time favourite – sweet pea. I worked with the spectrum of green, white, cream, and pastel tones, with earthy accents and a toned down pop of colour. It was the perfect mix of textures and colours to create a cohesive look that tied everything together.

The venue itself was quite dark with yellow lighting, which was just right for the theme we were going for. It created the perfect ambiance that felt warm and cozy, just like a romantic scene straight out of Pride & Prejudice.

Overall, this wedding was an absolute joy to work on, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it.
