WEDDING: KAREN+JESHER

What does it feel like to carry a bunch of ripe, juicy, just-harvested fruits and veggies? That’s what I kept in mind while working on Karen and Jesher’s personal flowers for their wedding day.

Karen and Jesher were such a positive and radiant couple – beautiful smiles and so easy-going! They chose such a wonderful verse to be their theme that describes them so precisely: Genesis 1:28, “And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth'”.  How beautiful is that?! Rich colours like maroon, purple, yellow and gold, and deep reds – all shades of autumnal harvest, warm and happy.

I went for rich and curly cafe latte roses,  red spray, burgundy amaranthus, maroon eustomas,  preserved and fresh eucalyptus, rosemary and so many other ingredients to create a textured and abundant look. We decided to tie it with one of my favourite patterned silk ribbons – that looked so perfect!
