WEDDING: CHRISTINE+DANIEL

This boho vibe! Such a beautiful ceremony!

When Christine and Daniel first came to me, they didn’t really have a particular theme in mind. Christine liked blue, and wanted a ‘girl-next-door’ feel, while Daniel, I guess after working in London’s concrete jungle for a while, wanted to have big tropical leaves incorporated into the arrangements. Despite these differences, the two were so free-spirited, extremely sweet, and such fun to work with!

The venue for their intimate solemnization was the lawn at the recently renovated Raffles Hotel – a beautiful space full of light and greenery, and so breezy – simply the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding, which also gave us plenty of options to work with. Word by word, it turned out that the guys had some beautiful rustic props they brought from Bali, which they were considering using as a part of their wedding decor. A few brainstorming sessions later, we decided to go for a boho-themed styling with all the traditional boho elements – a beautiful blue door, mixed rustic rugs along the aisle, and of course, pampas.

The colour palette was the tricky part – we wanted something light blue, but not too pastel, not too usual, not too bright, and not too green. We finally got that perfect balance of blues and browns and beige, which stood out so nicely amid the lush green surroundings! Cappuccino, quicksand and ohara roses, my favourite anthuriums, towers of delphinium and matthiola, as well as painted tropical leaves – all came together as a beautiful picture framing the sweetest couple.
