WEDDING: CHRISTA+LAWRENCE

Christa and Lawrence’s colourful and beautiful wedding with the “overgrown garden” theme – This couple are the sweetest ever! Meeting them each time was something I was always looked forward to. Soft, caring, patient and adventurous, they were a breeze to work with.

Their wedding took place at Trinity Methodist Church – a big church hall done in wood, with little natural light inside, and a large courtyard outside. We decided to go with a lush, overgrown garden feel, reminiscent of an English countryside meadow, with plenty of colours and textures to brighten up the space.

For the entrance we constructed a big growing installation, which was topped with a foliage garland. Lush, flowy and large, it created the perfect focal point at the entrance to greet guests.

After the solemnization, a cozy luncheon took place in the courtyard, and one of our goals was repurposing as much flowers from the inside as we could for this area. We decorated the aisle with classic posies, which later were placed on the dining tables as small centrepieces. The beautiful altar table was covered in lush flowers and the porch in front had two floor arrangements that were used for the tea ceremony afterwards. Loved it so much!
