WEDDING: YUXUAN+ALVIN

Think of merlot, white peach, milk chocolate, coffee, burgundy, ivory, petal pink… That’s the colour palette for Yuxuan and Alvin’s wedding. Rich and timeless colours in the beautiful setting of the Glasshouse at Andaz Hotel.

Yuxuan’s bouquet was classy and elegant – horizontal shape, ombre design, textured but with a clean look. Dark burgundy peonies, cappuccino roses, fragrant matthiola, tender astilbe, clouds of smoke bush, and deep red and cream accents – all tied with a hand-dyed silk flowing ribbon in a nude muted tone.

For this couple’s wedding I had a chance to dress up the stage. There were a few things we had to keep in mind: the couple didn’t want a standard arch or frame on the stage, and we had to coordinate with the venue’s decor, which already includes some flowers (like stage stands and table arrangements). I decided to go with a stage front installation – the idea was to have lush flowerbeds framing the steps: unusual, and beautiful. We managed to use some parts of it for the solemnization, which that took place before dinner in hall nearby. The overall look was so magical!
